1. About Bloop

Bloop provides tools to help users manage focus sessions, monitor productivity, track progress, and stay motivated. Features may vary depending on your device, operating system, subscription status, location, and the version of Bloop you use.

Bloop is operated by Oddnest referred to in these Terms as “Bloop,” “we,” “us,” or “our.”
For questions about these Terms, contact us using the email address above.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally able to agree to these Terms under the laws applicable to you.

Bloop is intended for a general audience. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use Bloop only where permitted by applicable law and with any required consent from a parent or legal guardian.

Additional age restrictions may apply to particular features, purchases, or jurisdictions.

By using Bloop, you represent that you meet the applicable eligibility requirements.

3. Your Account

Some Bloop features may be available without an account. Other features may require registration.

If you create an account, you agree to:

  • Task creation and management.
  • Focus timers and stopwatches.
  • Focus session history and summaries.
  • Productivity statistics.
  • Streaks, badges, and achievements.
  • Virtual accountability companions.
  • Reminders and notifications.
  • Distraction and interruption insights.
  • Premium features and purchases.

We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features as the product evolves, subject to applicable law and any rights you have already acquired.

You agree to use Bloop in accordance with these Terms and applicable laws.

4. Using Bloop

Bloop may include features such as:

  • Provide accurate information where required.
  • Keep your login credentials secure.
  • Take reasonable steps to prevent unauthorised access to your account.
  • Notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
  • Use your account only for lawful purposes.

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it. Withdrawing consent does not make earlier processing unlawful, and some features may no longer work if the information or permission is essential to them.

Your tasks and personal content

You are responsible for the information you enter into Bloop, including task names, descriptions, and other personal notes.

Do not use Bloop to store or transmit unlawful content, another person’s confidential information without authorisation, or information that you are not entitled to provide.

Bloop is a productivity tool, not a secure document vault.

Focus and distraction tracking

Some versions of Bloop may offer features that help you understand how your focus sessions are interrupted.

The availability and accuracy of these features depend on your device, operating system, permissions, and technical limitations.

You acknowledge that:

  • Some devices may restrict app-level usage tracking.
  • You may need to grant specific permissions for certain features.
  • Revoking permissions may limit functionality.
  • Session records and distraction statistics may not capture every interruption.
  • Bloop cannot guarantee that every distraction will be detected or measured accurately.

You remain responsible for deciding how to use your device and manage your focus.

5. Productivity Information Is for Personal Use

Bloop provides tools and insights intended to support personal productivity and habit development.

Bloop does not guarantee that using the app will improve your concentration, increase productivity, help you achieve a particular goal, or produce a specific outcome.

Your results depend on many factors, including your goals, circumstances, habits, and use of the app.

Timers, streaks, badges, progress summaries, and companion reactions are motivational features. They are not professional medical, psychological, educational, financial, or other specialised advice.

You should use your own judgement when making decisions based on information displayed in Bloop.

6. Accountability Companions and Achievements

Bloop may offer virtual accountability companions, animations, badges, streaks, and other motivational features.

These features are designed for entertainment and encouragement.

Unless expressly stated otherwise:

  • Virtual companions are fictional digital characters.
  • Achievements and badges do not have cash value.
  • Streaks and progress indicators are not guarantees of performance.
  • Virtual items cannot be exchanged for money.
  • Virtual items cannot be transferred or resold.

We may update character designs, animations, available companions, and reward systems as the app develops.

We will respect any applicable consumer rights relating to paid digital features.

7. Premium Features and Purchases

Bloop may offer paid features, including access to additional accountability companions or other premium functionality.

The features included in a purchase will be described at the point of sale.

Pricing and payment

Prices will be displayed before you complete a purchase. Applicable taxes may be included in the displayed price or added as required by law.

Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store are subject to the applicable store’s payment processes and terms.

Where a purchase is processed by a third-party provider, that provider may handle the payment and transaction information.

One-time purchases

If a premium feature is sold as a one-time purchase, the purchase grants access to the specified feature under the conditions disclosed at the time of purchase.

A one-time purchase is not a subscription and does not automatically renew unless the purchase terms clearly state otherwise.

Subscriptions

If Bloop offers subscriptions, the applicable subscription duration, price, renewal conditions, and cancellation instructions will be presented before purchase.

Subscriptions may renew automatically until cancelled in accordance with the applicable store’s rules.

You are responsible for managing and cancelling subscriptions through the relevant purchasing platform when required.

Deleting Bloop does not necessarily cancel a subscription.

Purchase restoration

Where supported, we may provide a way to restore eligible purchases associated with your Apple or Google account.

Restoration may depend on the purchasing platform, account status, and the product’s purchase rules.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled according to applicable law and the refund policies of the relevant purchasing platform or payment provider.

Where Apple or Google processed your purchase, you may need to request a refund directly through that platform.

Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory refund or consumer rights you have under applicable law.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Bloop for unlawful activities.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to Bloop or its systems.
  • Interfere with the security, availability, or operation of the service.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app except where applicable law permits it.
  • Copy, redistribute, or commercially exploit Bloop without our permission, except where permitted by law.
  • Circumvent payment systems, access controls, or premium entitlements.
  • Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities for unauthorised purposes.
  • Upload malicious code or attempt to compromise another user’s information.
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation.
  • Use Bloop in a way that infringes another person’s rights.

We may investigate suspected violations and take reasonable action, including restricting or terminating access where justified.

Nothing in this section is intended to prohibit activities that applicable law expressly protects.

9. Intellectual Property

Bloop and its associated materials are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Unless otherwise stated, we or our licensors own or have the necessary rights to use the Bloop name, branding, software, interface designs, graphics, illustrations, animations, characters, text, and other original materials.

These Terms grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Bloop for its intended purpose, subject to these Terms and applicable law.

This licence does not transfer ownership of Bloop or its intellectual property to you.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, sell, or create unauthorised derivative works from Bloop’s intellectual property without the necessary permission, except where permitted by law.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you create and submit to Bloop, subject to any rights belonging to other parties.

You grant us permission to host, store, process, and display your content only as reasonably necessary to operate Bloop, provide its features, protect the service, and meet our legal obligations.

We will handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We will not claim ownership of your personal tasks or notes merely because you use Bloop.

10. Privacy

Your use of Bloop is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information. You can review it here:

Privacy Policy: www.trybloop.app/privacy

By using Bloop, you acknowledge that you have had the opportunity to review our Privacy Policy.

Where applicable law requires consent for particular processing activities, this section does not replace that consent.

11. Notifications and Reminders

Bloop may offer notifications, reminders, or other prompts to help you return to your tasks.

You can manage notification permissions through your device settings and, where available, within Bloop.

Notifications may be delayed, blocked, or unavailable because of device settings, network conditions, operating system restrictions, or service interruptions.

Bloop does not guarantee that every reminder or notification will be delivered.

You are responsible for deciding which notifications are useful to you and for managing your notification settings.

12. Third-Party Services

Bloop may rely on third-party services for hosting, authentication, analytics, payments, notifications, or other functionality.

Your use of third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for independent services outside our control, although we will take reasonable steps to select and manage service providers appropriately.

Where applicable, mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

13. Availability and Changes to Bloop

We aim to make Bloop reliable and useful, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.

The service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, security issues, third-party outages, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

We may update, improve, or change Bloop as technology and user needs evolve.

Where a change materially affects a paid feature or an existing contractual right, we will provide any notice, remedy, or other protection required by applicable law.

We are not obligated to maintain every feature indefinitely, except where required by law or an applicable agreement.

14. Termination and Account Deletion

You may stop using Bloop at any time.

If Bloop supports account creation, you may request account deletion through the available account settings or designated deletion request process.

Account deletion may remove your tasks, focus history, achievements, and other associated information, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable retention requirements.

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of a material breach of these Terms, security concerns, unlawful activity, or a legal requirement.

Where appropriate and legally required, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue.

Termination does not remove rights or obligations that arose before termination.

If you have a paid subscription, you must manage cancellation through the relevant purchasing platform where applicable. Deleting your account or uninstalling Bloop may not automatically cancel recurring payments.

15. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Bloop is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

We do not guarantee that:

  • Bloop will always be available or error-free.
  • Every focus session or distraction will be recorded accurately.
  • Your data will never be affected by a technical failure.
  • The app will be compatible with every device.
  • Using Bloop will produce a particular productivity outcome.

We will take reasonable steps to maintain and improve the service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes a guarantee, warranty, or right that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable law.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Bloop and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising from your use of the service, including losses resulting from an inability to use Bloop or reliance on its productivity statistics.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses caused by factors outside our reasonable control, including third-party service outages, device failures, or interruptions to internet access.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law, including applicable rights relating to fraud, intentional misconduct, or mandatory consumer protections.

Any additional limitation of liability must be consistent with the laws that apply to your use of Bloop.

17. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to be responsible for losses or claims arising directly from your unlawful use of Bloop, your infringement of another person’s rights, or your material breach of these Terms.

This provision does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own unlawful conduct or where an indemnity is prohibited by applicable law.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as Bloop evolves or our legal obligations change.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.

If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will provide additional notice where required by law.

Your continued use of Bloop after updated Terms take effect indicates acceptance only where that acceptance is legally effective. Where affirmative consent is required, we will request it.

If you do not agree to a material change, you should stop using the affected service and may contact us about any applicable rights.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

Any invalid provision will be interpreted or adjusted only as far as necessary to make it enforceable where legally permitted.

20. No Waiver

If we do not enforce a provision of these Terms immediately, that does not mean we waive our right to enforce it later.

Any waiver must be effective under applicable law.

21. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented for specific features or purchases, form the agreement governing your use of Bloop, subject to any mandatory legal requirements.

If additional terms apply to a particular purchase or feature, we will make them available before or when they apply.
